All Containers Off The Streets Of Bambili and Bambui, Host Towns Of The University Of Bamenda This June 2015

This is a decision signed by the Tubah Council Mayor, Tanjong Martin. Public opinion in Tubah wants the Tubah Council to convert Bambui Main Market into a Modern Central Park from where passengers would travel to Ndop, Kumbo, Nkambe, Misaje, Belo, Fundong, Bafmeng and why not Bafousam, Douala, Yaounde and all the major towns in Cameroon. The container owners are pleased with their Mayor’s decision due to the fact that the same taking off of containers in the Bamenda city has brought much development which they want to see in Tubah Municipality.

The container owners say “ the Tubah Council should remove the tents in the main market to give space for the park and maintain permanent structures around the main market”. The Council should pay about three sheds and break them down to create inlet and outlet into main market would be park. This will help those in the containers to relocate to the park and also boost business in Bambui and Bambili. All existing unorthodox parks in Bambili and Bambui along roadsides where passengers lack rest houses, latrines and other facilities would be moved into the main market park if created.
