Scholarships: Exchange support



A small envelop exists
It is funded by the State of Cameroon
 Each year, the state of Cameroon provides needy students a little assistance to support their studies abroad. This assistance can take many forms. The government through the Ministry of Higher Education sometimes offers airline tickets to students benefiting from grants from friendly countries. In many cases, as these awards are generally not consistent, Cameroon strengthens with so-called supplementary grant: a small charge of the student.

To those who study at their own expense, the state provides small aids. The amounts vary depending on the area, information Thérèse Wanah Litumbe, director of the assistance and academic works in the Ministry of Higher Education. They go to 75.00F 150.000F per student per month for the African region; from 200,000 to 750.000F per month per student for Europe and from 750.000F for the United States.
In general, the sciences, information technology and engineering are favored, because of the technical challenges facing Cameroon, explains Professor.
