Fanning coup d’états: What The Press Is Saying about Old and Young People In Cameroon

The press in Cameroon is citing old people who still govern Cameroon and giving their ages. One of such press stated that Cameroon is ruled by “dead people.” This is an insult. To me this is a lack of information.
Leaders who change the world for the better
Remember it is often said the foolish man is the one who does not read newspapers and that more stupid is the one who takes everything from the newspapers to be correct just because it is written in the newspaper. When people talk of old people ruling Cameroon what do they mean? Do they know that from 21–65 years anybody is a mature person, and after 65 years you are an old person? How old is old? When you hear those guys writing on papers it is because they are suffering from unemployment. What would have happened if they were all employed and the old men still in their places in government? The media men fail to know that what we call “leadership index” comprise the following:
1)      Influence
2)      Integrity
3)      Initiative
4)      Intelligence and interest
Now who are those who have changed the world for the better? Is it Jean Duvalier of Haiti (less than 50years), Samuel Doh of Liberia (less than 50years), Joseph Kabila of Democratic Republic of Congo (less than 50years) etc? Now in the opinion of leadership qualities that we have given above one need to take into account the following personalities who were certainly more than 60 years and who are in the interest of the so called press are “old men”.
In the interest of the world and the world leadership we take account of Franklin Roosevelt of USA (>65 years), Winston Churchill of UK (>65years), Mao Zi Dong of China (>65years), Joseph Stalin of Russia builder of the Soviet Union (>65years), John Paul II of Vatican brought the greatest changes in the Catholic Church when he was above 70 (>65years), Mahatma Gandhi of India (>65 years), P. Nehro of India (>65 years), Korak A. of Federal Republic of West Germany (>65 years), Humphrey Boigney of Ivory Coast (>65 years), Nelson Mandela of South Africa (>65 years), Joseph Mugabe of Zimbabwe (>65years), Julius Nyerere of Tanzania (>65years) etc.
Now those guys of the press in Cameroon have failed to show us and the world that “young people” can change the world for the better and the world blames them for fanning coup d’états in many countries but forgetting to know that it is not the age per se but the quality of leadership or administration that counts.
What happens if the youths in Cameroon are appointed by old people? Will they reject or accept? The greatest scammers are the so called youths who have not got enough experience to rule a country. What the youths in Cameroon ought to press for would have been incorporation into government at every level so that they can gather enough experience on how to rule a country.
Instead once they are recruited into the Police, Gendamerie and so on, they go along the road collecting money (bribe) in broad day light from drivers, passengers etc. Is it because they are young or the passengers and drivers are old?
Just imagine how the youths are dragging the national symbols of Cameroon on the ground. They fly the flag but refuse to pay taxes. They use the national symbols to steal money through camouflage. Is it the old people who have sent them to steal and join Boko Haram? They should talk about employment and leave old people alone because employment and participation in government are both human rights.

Money (riches, wealth etc) Money cometh

I prophesy riches to you in Jesus’ name! Only believe all things are possible. Amen! Do you believe? If not what do you think bring riches? For the unbelieving what brings riches is hard work. I used to think like this and I admired the Bamilike musician’s song titled “la vrai magie ce le travail” i.e. the true magic is work. A lazy man is very complicated… My uncle played this song in his car when we travelled most often. I fell in love with this song and played it often times. I had believed that riches come as a result of hard work. Now hear what most young English speaking Cameroonians in pidgin will ask one of theirs who becomes rich. “Your money don came?” if it is hard work that brings riches I think they would put it this way “Your don work hard soteh your money came?” but I have never heard the latter. Hard work leads to success. But when success comes why are these youths only asking “your success or money don came?”  and not “your hard work don bring your success or money?”
When talking with a friend he questioned “Coni do you think it is hard work that makes one rich?” I said yes but doubting my answer.  I tried to look at the book of life and what it says. You see the bible says those who do not work should not eat. Now does God mean we work or rather work hard just to eat? He did not say it the other way round thus those who do not work should not be rich. I searched and didn’t see this one. So we work no matter how hard just to eat? I meditated.
At this juncture my memory took me back to 1998 when I had my ‘A’ levels and moved to the city – Douala. I got a job and was working hard but would see my neighbours and friends idling and most often statements like “your money don came” though said in another way would come out from their conversations on success and money. “l’argent, ça va venir” “ca arrive” etc. This conversation was sparked by the news that the son of a Minister was first in a competitive entrance examination, he is said to be twenty five years and owns a company in France. His father uses state money on him and himself.

When top officials of the Biya establishment fraud and rig every public examination in the horizon

\
Friends, I am going to be very deliberate and I will pick and choose my words for reason of clarity, resolve, mission and purpose. It serves no useful purpose to whine and moan regarding the solid fact that the following 02 items are related. They have always been related.
1. When top officials of the Biya establishment fraud and rig every public examination in the horizon, like the recent IRIC Entrance, they end up with an overflow of very corrupt graduates - customs officials, magistrates, tax-collectors, teachers, diplomats, etc. These people, usually the children and relatives of the high and mighty in the Biya regime, entered ENAM and the rest of the professional schools through corruption and fraud, you see. They can only deploy their thieving practices to the field and thereby eternalize the already very corrupt Camerounese system.
2. Anglophone Cameroon (politically correct) to speak of Southern Cameroons has always been the dumping ground for the surplus children of the corrupt who, upon graduating from ENAM, etc...are now deployed to practice their corruption culture the courts ( for example) in anglophone Cameroon where they demand that anglophone users of these courts must now speak French to suit their whims and caprices. My point is simple. There is a time to whine and complain and there is a time to end the nonsense.
