Student Profile Award 2014

Journalist students in undergraduate journalism or media programs from all African universities are invited to submit entry for the Student Profile Award 2014. The students must enter their story written in the academic year 2014 for the student category of the Profile Awards after verifying it by the head of the journalism program.

The entry can be – a science or technology article, radio clip or television production. The five selected entries will each receive Rs.5000 as a 2014 Student Profile Awards winner.

How to enter?

• Write an email to the email address provided on the website with the following information:
  1. Name and country of origin.
  2. The name and country of the university where the entrant is studying.
  3. Student number, registered course, and year of study.
  4. Contact details for the head of department.
  5. If the submission was published, please provide the details of the media outlet, date and headline used.
• Attach the selected story on the email as a link to the web page where it was published, a PDF, an audio/visual file of the article or production, or a Dropbox invitation.
• Send the email before deadline.

Eligibility Criteria

• Entrants must be Journalist students in undergraduate journalism or media programs from any accredited African universities
• The submissions must have been written or produced during the 2014 academic year.
• Entries must be original work.
• Entries will be accepted in English, Afrikaans, French, Portuguese and Arabic.

Note: The entry can also be delivered as a hard copy via courier. Remember to state this clearly in the email.
