This year’s
event is being celebrated under the theme “Construct the Future of Cameroon in
Peace, Solidarity and Decent Work.”
The
International Labour Day was instituted in the early 1880’s by labourers who
demanded better working conditions. Labour Day is also referred to as
International Workers Day or May Day.
