Government Technical College (GTC) Tabenken to go operational this academic year! Government High School (GHS) Tabenken Scores a 100% At 2015 GCE 'A' Level

Mr. John Tantoh, Donga Mantung DDIBE at TACUDA B'da
The GCE results are out, and while most students are celebrating and becoming anxious the students of Government High School Tabenken have taken their village to the next level. Come and see Tangmbo wonders! Tangmbo Division, Tangmbo the land of the Holy Family Choir, 'Neih of Tangmbo'. Tangmbo the land of Hon. J. T. Ndze…
As a result of the recent pride and joy brought by GHS to the village, Mr. John Tantoh, Divisional Delegate of Basic Education for Donga Mantung Division, speaking to the Tabenken Cultural and Development Association (TACUDA) Bamenda – branch last Saturday in Bamenda said, 'Tabenken is shining' he disclosed that all the primary schools in Tabenken seating for the First School Leaving Certificate scored a 100% except a pupil who was unfortunate. This unfortunate pupil wrote the FSLC at the Presbyterian School Tfum centre comprising of Government School Mbikong, Government School Tuku and Presbyterian School Tfurm.
Students GHS Tabenken
The Donga Mantung Divisional Inspector for Basic education (DDIBE) further disclosed that a Government Technical College will go operational in Tabenken this 2015/2016 academic year. He told TACUDA Bamenda branch members that the Divisional Delegate of Secondary Education for Donga Mantung Division, Mr. Njobe Ephraim was in Yaounde to finalize and bring the authorization to open the technical college in Tabenken this academic year. He also called on any son or daughter of Tabenken who is qualified and a technical education teacher to meet him or the divisional delegate and hand his or her name so that he or she can lead the new school. Laughing, he said it is the way of government that someone of the area leads and start a new college.
There was so much fun at the TACUDA Bamenda meeting last Saturday. The President, Mr. Chris Mbunwe on behalf of all the members present called on some unscrupulous fellows who posted photos of some very important traditional title holders of TACUDA Bamenda on facebook to withdraw them within 48 hours. At the time of this post, a fake facebook group name Tabenken Cultural and Development Association Bamenda branch was changed to debate club. He also congratulated the sitting principal of GHS Tabenken and promised TACUDA Bamenda would be sending him a token of encouragement for the brilliant performance of our children.
An elite from Tangmbo, the Vice Principal of City College of Commerce Mankon condemned the manner in which the GCE 2015 examination results were published. He also regretted the passing away of Mr. Tani Richard, a computer expert at the GCE Board who passed away in China perhaps whose gap at the Board he believed caused the GCE board that much trouble this year with the publication of results.
TACUDA Bamenda branch is truly a socially enriching experience as news on almost all aspects and particularly the ways and precautions to take during this time of the dreaded BOKO HARAM sect in town and back home were shared.
Next month, the attendance would be massive as Dr. Tanya Vincent will be providing for entertainment in the olden much cherished manner with fufu corn and goat meat as cuisine and lots and sha, palm wine and beer.

Government High School Tabenken Scores 100% At GCE 'A' Level, Will Have A Science Section At The High School Next 2015/2016 Academic Year

Wonderful Performance For Tangmbo and Mbumland
Congratulations to all who made it
2014/2015 Annual General P.T.A Meeting G.H.S Tabenken Normally at the end of every school year there is always an end of year meeting to evaluate the activities of the school by the parents and teachers who are so important in the smooth running of the school. After the opening prayers by the Chairman Mr. Shey Mbate Joseph, the meeting continued following the agenda. When it came to finances, Mene Mba reporter observed many people adjusting themselves and listened keenly not to miss a figure. When this was done with the balance sheet, everyone present clapped for joy. Their money has been well used. The Technical Adviser in the person of Mr. Tinkuh Emmanuel Yembe – Principal of the school thanked all present. He said the greatest problem he was facing in the school was the staffing situation. Many civil servants sent to the school come and take–up service then leave to go and come but do not or when coming back come with another letter transferring them to another place. He thanked the ECI teachers who have stayed in this hardship for the sake of our children. Lastly, he thanked the Parents Teachers Association (P.T.A) for employing eight full–time teachers and three part–time teachers. The enrolment was stagnant at six hundred and forty (640) students. He called on parents to send more children to school this September. After this the Chairman Mr. Shey Mbate Joseph informed the parents that the Science Section for the high school will go operational in September 2015. Parents were very happy for this will save them money which was used for house rents, food, transport etc on their children who continued with sciences after having Ordinary levels elsewhere. External elite were called upon to visit the school whenever they came and support this new project in any way necessary. After discussing on the advantages though a little costly than what they had been paying as P.T.A levy, it was unanimously agreed that the levy be raised from six thousand (6.000) francs CFA to eleven thousand (11.000) francs CFA being a flat-rate for both old and new students. The Chairman thanked all for their frank discussion. The meeting which began at 12:12pm ended at 3:30pm with refreshments. Duke Tanto Mene Mba Correspondent Reporting from Tabenken.
