Old People Who Still Govern Cameroon, Six Regional Governors Now Overdue Retirement



One of the problems linked with inertia in the management of state affairs, are the ages of top government functionaries. Majority of them are old and long retired. Yet, being politicians, they are required to stay–on. But civil servants have 55 years to go on retirement. Out of the ten regional governors in Cameroon only four are yet to be retired. Six others  have been overdue retirement. Yet, President Paul Biya has been mute over this. Even several Senior Divisional Officers SDOs and Dos who had long been ripe for retirement are still on.
